Ecuador Mi País New England
Ecuador Mi Pais (EMP) is a non-profit organization chartered
in Washington D.C. created to grant scholarships to Ecuadorians
who have the faculty but not the means of sustaining their
education. When we learned about the mission that EMP has
been carrying out, we immediately felt identified with this
organization. It was a matter of time to gather people willing
to collaborate with the start of a regional program for
New England. Like many Ecuadorians, we hope for better days
for our country and feel the responsibility to contribute
with the building of a better Ecuador.
Created as part of the EMP, the focus of the New England
Chapter initially will be to grant higher education scholarships
in Ecuador and promoting cultural and social activities in
the New England Region.
The objective of our plan is to pull together forces to create
an economic support net for the promotion of college education
in Ecuador and also to encourage a system of mentors to further
support the development of the recipients of the grants. We
are convinced that the opportunity of one receiving college
education and the benefit of sharing experiences with the
mentor will greatly promote the development of responsible
professionals dedicated to our country and community. Furthermore,
we want to reach out to Ecuadorians and other parties or organizations
through out this region who are interested in our culture
so we can share social and cultural activities.

of being positive towards a better Ecuador.
