Our Projects

Ecuador Mi País firmly believes in the potential that Ecuadorians have to contribute to the country's development. We know that in order to achieve this we need people who are trained in many areas. We are committed to contribute to Ecuadorian children's and youth's hope for a better future by having access to education.

From the beginning, we started working with several organizations in Ecuador and started funding scholarships for children of less-fortunate families, in order to bring about the Edusemillas project. Thanks to this project, we have been able to help children and youths, from many Ecuadorian cities, who were at risk of abandoning their studies. We have also been able to encourage parents to send their children to school, instead of forcing them to work.

We base the selection process on a social-financial report and a grade report of our candidates. The sponsoring organizations draw up these reports. They also provide detailed budgets, with information on the expenses to be made. Organizations must deliver reports each term on how children are progressing in their studies and also a final report on how funds were used, with the corresponding backup documents. Additionally, we have volunteers in Ecuador who do a follow up of these projects and are constantly in contact with these organizations, in order to verify that the money is being used correctly and that children are the beneficiaries.

The projects that we are currently working on are:

• Escuela Fe y Alegría Cuenca
• Programa del Muchacho Trabajador. 
• Programa del Capítulo New England

Our scholarships help poor children who live in Quito, Cuenca, Esmeraldas, and Manta. We hope to continue growing in order to help students from other cities in Ecuador.
