How it all started
Founded in August 2005 by young Ecuadorian professionals in Washington, D.C., our 501(c)(3) non-profit grew from 4 to 400 members across the USA. Their focus was raising funds to provide scholarships for children at Casa Victoria in Quito, Fe y Alegría in Cuenca, and Muchacho Trabajador in Manta and Esmeraldas, Ecuador. In 2014, a new Board stepped in and directed most of its efforts and attention to Casa Victoria Foundation. Since then, Ecuador Mi Pais Foundation has been the vehicle for donations from faithful friends and various church groups who have supported the work of Casa Victoria for the last ten years.
Our most recent election of Board members, plus an expanded Board of Advisors, is giving EMIP a deeper vision to help not only the children who attend Casa Victoria, but their parents and other community members who live in the area of San Roque, Old Town, Quito.
Passing the Baton, We Continue...
In 2014, a new wave of passionate friends joined us, and Ecuador Mi País expanded its vision. We’re no longer just for young Ecuadorian professionals—anyone who wants to make a difference is welcome! Now, we’re proudly partnering with Casa Victoria, thanks to its impactful programs and global volunteer opportunities.
Our mission remains the same: to improve the lives of as many children as we can. Plus, we’re excited to offer a space for people around the world to contribute and volunteer, making a meaningful difference in Ecuadorian children's education. Join us in continuing this incredible journey!
