A Legacy Shared for the First Time

In a deeply meaningful moment at Casa Victoria, Mamalicia shared with our children, for the very first time, the story of her father, Sixto Durán-Ballén, through a video that brings his journey to life.

More than a story about leadership, it was a story about resilience. About a child who faced challenges, learned to rise above criticism, and discovered that true strength comes from perseverance, forgiveness, and purpose.

As the children listened, they weren’t just learning about the past, they were connecting with values that continue to shape the future. Values that remind them that their circumstances do not define them, and that each of them has the power to build something meaningful with their lives.

Moments like this reflect what Casa Victoria stands for. Because the impact we create is not only in what we do each day, but in the stories we share, the examples we honor, and the hope we pass on.

The legacy of those who came before us continues to live on, reaching the children, inspiring their dreams, and reminding them that they, too, can become the architects of their own future.
