WUAWUAS GIARDINO & PIZZERIA
Where every brunch and slice serves a purpose! We’re more than just a place to enjoy good food. We’re a community hub dedicated to supporting and uplifting our children and local community

Our Pizza Café and Brunch Journey
How it all started!
In 2016, thanks to a 40-day crowdfunding campaign, Casa Victoria transformed an old cellar into Wuawuas Pizzeria. What began as a small dream quickly became a place where good food, community, and purpose met. A few years later, we dreamed bigger.
We launched a second crowdfunding campaign to create Wuawuas en la Terraza—an open, beautiful outdoor space to complement the pizzeria.
The Terrace Years
For a time, the terrace:
Worked well and stayed active, was well cared for and enjoyed by the communit, became a lovely extension of Wuawuas Pizzeria
But reality slowly changed.

When Things
Took a Turn
Heavy rains, combined with the lack of consistent municipal care, made the terrace difficult to maintain. Being an open and unprotected space, it gradually began to be used as a place of refuge by people living on the streets, many facing addiction and unsafe situations.
Despite our efforts, the terrace could no longer function as a safe place for families or visitors.
With disappointment and sadness, we removed the tables and plants and closed that chapter.

A Better Idea Was Born
We didn’t stop dreaming.
Inside Casa Victoria, in a space within the front garden that was barely used by the children, we saw a new possibility, one that was safer, more controlled, and full of potential.
In November 2025, we began again.
We reused: the original fountain, the tables, chairs, everything we could rescue from the terrace.
Wuawuas Giardino Today
Today, Wuawuas Giardino lives inside Casa Victoria:
-
Surrounded by plants and green areas in a safe, clean, and private environment
-
Supported by chefs, designers, volunteers, moms from our community and Casa Victoria Alumni. Creating jobs for people from our own neighborhood
For the past months, we’ve been welcoming guests with Brunch and Pizza on weekends. And yes, we received lots of clients, and tons of support from the community, a beautiful response to our efforts to create a different and safe space in our community.
What once felt like a loss became something even better than we imagined.
